Privacy Policy

Overview

Treadmill Pro is an iOS application that connects to your treadmill via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and lets you control speed and incline, track workout metrics in real time, and save completed sessions. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and with whom - if anyone - it is shared. We are committed to handling your information with care and transparency.

Data We Collect

Treadmill Pro collects only the data required to provide its core features:

• Workout data - duration, distance, average speed, max speed, incline, estimated calories burned, and heart rate (average and maximum) for each completed session.
• Device identifier - Apple's vendor identifier (identifierForVendor) is used to associate your workout history and app settings with your device. This identifier is not linked to your Apple ID, name, or email address.
• App settings - preferences such as speed unit (km/h or mph), theme, countdown timer, and display options are saved locally on your device and optionally synced to the cloud under the same anonymous device identifier.
• Heart rate - read from Apple Health in real time during a workout session to display your current BPM on screen and to estimate calorie burn.

We do not collect your name, email address, Apple ID, or any information that directly identifies you as a person.

Bluetooth

Treadmill Pro uses Bluetooth Low Energy (CoreBluetooth) to establish a connection with your treadmill. The app discovers nearby BLE devices, connects to a treadmill you select, and exchanges workout control commands and sensor readings over that connection. Bluetooth data is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties.

Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your explicit permission, Treadmill Pro interacts with Apple Health in two ways:

• Read access - the app reads your heart rate samples from Apple Health during an active workout session. This data is displayed on screen and used to estimate calorie expenditure. It is not stored outside Apple Health beyond the current session.
• Write access - when you finish a workout, the app saves a workout record (activity type: Walking, Indoor) to Apple Health, including duration, calories burned, and average heart rate. This record stays in Apple Health and is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

You can revoke HealthKit access at any time from iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Treadmill Pro.

Apple Music

If you grant permission, Treadmill Pro can display the name of the song currently playing and provide playback controls (play, pause, skip) directly on the workout screen. The app does not access your music library, purchase history, or any listening data. Music permission can be revoked at any time from iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Media & Apple Music > Treadmill Pro.

Workout History & Settings Sync

Completed workout records and your app settings are stored in a cloud database (Supabase) to enable history browsing and settings continuity across re-installs. The data stored includes:

• Workout metrics: duration, distance, speed, incline, calories, heart rate, workout type, and timestamp.
• App settings: language preference, speed unit, display options, theme, and timer configuration.
• An anonymous device identifier (identifierForVendor) used to retrieve your data. No personal account is required.

This data is stored securely on servers provided by Supabase, Inc. and is not sold, rented, or shared with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

In-App Purchases

Treadmill Pro offers optional premium subscriptions and a lifetime purchase processed entirely through Apple's App Store (StoreKit). We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple handles all transaction processing and verification in accordance with Apple's own privacy policy.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data. The only third-party services involved are:

• Supabase - cloud database for workout history and settings sync. Data is stored under an anonymous device identifier.
• Apple App Store - processes in-app purchases. Apple's privacy policy governs payment data.
• Apple HealthKit - stores workout sessions you choose to save. Apple's privacy policy governs Health data.

We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users, but we have no mechanism to identify individual users from the anonymous identifiers we store.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as follows:

• Workout history and settings are stored in our database for as long as the app is installed or until you request deletion.
• Apple Health data is managed by Apple and subject to Apple's retention policies.
• Local app preferences are deleted when you uninstall the app.

To request deletion of your workout history and settings from our servers, contact us at the email address below. Please include the phrase "data deletion request" in the subject line. We will process your request within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Treadmill Pro is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through this app, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Security

All communication between the app and our cloud database uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. Workout data is associated with an anonymous device identifier and cannot be traced back to a specific individual without physical access to the device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be published at https://supafast.tech/treadmill-pro/privacy with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
